To the northwest, your drive will lead you to Martel, the "seven towers city", to Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, beautiful mediaeval city, to Collonges-la-Rouge with its old red sandstone houses, to Turenne and Curemonte. You will fall in love with the Dordogne Valley and will visit the Lacave cave, the roman church in Souillac and Sarlat one of the most beautiful city, carefully restored with its mediaeval streets and Gothic or French Renaissance houses. |

To the south, you will go to Figeac with its sandstone houses, city of Champollion (he deciphered the Egyptian hieroglyphs and translated the Rosetta Stone), in the Lot valley, you will discover Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Pech-Merle, a prehistoric painted cave, do not forget to visit Cahors, the main city in the Lot, with its original bridge called "Pont Valentré". |
| There are a lot of activities for the children : "La fôret des singes" (the monkey's forest), "Le Rocher des Aigles" (the eagles' rock), the animal park in Gramat, multiple activities in Figeac, prehistoric museums in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and Cahors, many swimming places in the Dordogne river or in lakes. You can go hiking, horse riding or cycling in about 1500 km of walking paths.
